It’s filled with metaphors that technically work but have been used a thousand times and feel as I’d they were plucked like low hanging fruit depending on the situation. On top of that, the writing is just nonsensical at times. The characters have very little personality and mostly just fall into very basic archetypes with personalities that fit those archetypes. The world building is presented in such an in your face way where every single thing is explained like you’re reading a textbook. The world makes enough sense I guess but it feels bland and uninspired. I’ve been hearing for a long time that the Expanse was a good series so I pulled the trigger and bought the first three on sale.īasically, I got about 100 pages in and I can’t stand it. submitted by /u/Pyxisssįor a while I’ve been looking for a really good scifi series to get into since the Ender quartet is one of my favorites. If you want to read a book with a Moroccan author, or a modern book written in French, I think this is the one. It’s actually pretty horrifying and pretty sad but at the same time so damn good. To me, it starts with a crime and it ends up giving us a good portrait of the hypocrisy of the world we live in. It’s also about the role of women in society, the way we expect them to be, and to feel about how they struggle to find fulfillment in their lives, in their careers and with their children. It also deals with the separation of social classes in our society, with how second class citizen feel invisible, ostracized. Especially with how mental illness can be contained and nobody sees it at first but eventually it starts to slowly creep out. This book deals with trauma and mental illness. It’s about how a perfect nanny that everybody loves ended up murdering the two children in her care. It’s by Moroccan author Leila Slimani, she won the 2016 Prix Goncourt for this book (it’s like the most honorable prize for an author in France). I’m not really sure if it’s called The Perfect Nanny or Lullaby in English but the original name is Chanson Douce. The beauty of it all is that this e-book links back to one place and one place only the authors links, so everyone that reads this e-book will be taken to a website/sales page where ultimately more sales are generated. These e-books are not just on eBay I have also seen them all over the internet. Someone wrote these books and every e-book sold is a link to the author whoever sells the e-book. Most e-books are being sold by quite a few people you may notice that sellers are selling some e-books with the same titles. If you look on e-bay now you will find e-books everywhere and because most of these have resale rights these books are being sold by more than one person. If you can think of a good idea for an e-book then do it! Sell it on after all you may be on for a winner and sell thousands. Writing and selling your own e-books is paramount to a successful e-book business. Better still is having your own e-book website with your own written books available to buy.
You can buy or acquire an e-book for free, there are a lot of websites that have promotions for free e-books, try doing a Google Search for free e-books, some sites will have whole sections for free, also try signing up for site news letters that offer you free e-books as a joining incentive (we will look at news letter generators later.)Ī good step forward to generating profits is to own your own e-book website. E-books with resale rights are an excellent source of income.
